Praxis 1: Engineering Design

Praxis one is the course in which I was first introduced to the concept of engineering design. I was taught, more specifically, the values of an engineer: engineering perspectives and engineering ethics. I learned useful methods of organizing ideas through divergence and convergence techniques referred to in my portfolio as ideation tools. Praxis one also introduced me to the communication aspect of engineering which is commonly dwarfed by the technical aspect of engineering. I learned how to incorporate my various ideas into design and to justify my design decisions. Through my experience in this course, I've also produced my own engineering principle (see under philosophy page) and my own developing engineering design process (see under process page).
